Coloured or black-and-white nude?

The invention of photography gave a lot of possibilities to people. With the development of photography the quality of photos became better and it became easier to take photos. Cameras of different sizes, colours and options have appeared and everybody has a chance to choose any camera he/she likes.

When photos were invented they were black-and-white, but later thanks to technology and science coloured photos appeared. And black-and-white photos were forgotten for some time.

But nowadays these photos are even more popular than coloured. And no doubt that reflected on nude photos.

A lot of photographers prefer to take photos in black-and-white colours. There are several reasons for it. First of all, black-and-white nude photos are traditional and nude style as well as portraits have their own traditions in it. And everybody knows that fashion changes but classical, traditional genres stay. That is why photographers know that such photos will be always popular.

Besides, using black-and-white technology gives a lot of possibilities and freedom. There are a lot of methods that can't be used in coloured photos. And in such a way an artist receives a good background for creativity.

Sometimes colour may distract attention and show all the faults of the body while taking nude photos while black-and-white colours can hide them and make it perfect.

Intentions and the story of a photo play a very important role too. Darkness, black, grey and white colours are associated with sex and erotic. These colours give some mystery to the work that makes people use imagination. These colours may underline the beauty of the human body and help to concentrate on what the author wanted to tell.

But of course author chooses the colours of photos.

Nowadays it is easier to make a coloured photo from technological point of view. But only professional photographers can use the colours in proper way. Coloured photos give more authentic images. It is very difficult to work with colours. Light of the sun, lamp influence the whole picture, if a model is cold her body becomes white if he/she is hot, her/his skin becomes red, so again it is necessary to consider the conditions of work.

Every person has his/her preferences of colours. And it is up to every person to decide what colour to choose. Sometimes photos with the extensive blue colour look great as well as when they are completely red, etc.

Nude photos give so many chances and possibilities for creativeness that everybody has a chance to invent something new.
