Characteristics of nude photos

Nude style is very popular nowadays. But at the same time it is the most complicated genre to take photos. It depends very much on psychology of both photographer and model as well as on the other people who participate in the studio while taking nude photos.

And of course it is very complicated because you never know when nude art turns into pornography. This is a problem that wasn't solved till nowadays.

So what are the main characteristics of nude photos? This question can't be answered exactly because nude art is very subjective. Every person has her/his own limits of pornography and nude photos. For some people even a naked shoulder is pornography. This problem is even more complicated because till now there is no exact definition of pornography. If to consider that every period in the human history has its own understanding of pornography than it is very difficult to define this notion and it should be changed according to every period of development of society.

Some people say that the image of any naked part of human body is the characteristic of nude photography. A finger, a shoulder, neck, etc. make a photo nude. But we can't say that the presence of these parts of the body on the photo makes the photos nude because it needs something more. In such cases people say about the use of elements of nude style in photos. These parts of the body may turn a photo into fully nude when the whole picture is concentrated on and it is notable that the intention of the author was to make a picture of this part and not of the person.

As a rule every nude photo has some story and reflects the intentions and ideas of the author. It gives us not only the naked body but also composition of the photo. And thanks to it we have the possibility to understand the language of human body.

The differences of nude photos and pornography can't be determined exactly. Some people consider pornography to be all the photos that have the image of genitals and don't like them. But there are nude photos that have the pictures of genitals but still are considered to be nude photos. But it also depends on personal point of view of a person.

Nude photos are considered to be art and give a lot of possibilities for self-expression.
